What’s a Self-Storage Unit Teaser Rate?
Just as it sounds, self-storage giants will lure renters in with the promise of a low rate only to subsequently increase the price, according to new research from the 2024 Self-Storage National Investment Forecast by Marcus & Millichap. “As larger operators have increased their market presence, they have started to apply dynamic pricing with low teaser rates to draw in new tenants, followed by subsequent rate increases to achieve a higher ultimate target monthly rent,” the report states. This has reduced visibility into actual effective rents while putting downward pressure on asking rates.”

I put my code in at the gate and when I get to my unit and roll the door up I got a text message alerting me there was motion at my unit. The place is clean and secure. The staff is extremely helpful and assisted me to be able to move in even on the day they were closed. They even offer a move-in truck which is extremely helpful. I highly recommend Hayward storage. I had a really great experience and had the best customer service with Elsie the manager. She helped me change my lock when I lost my keys for my unit. She arranged for me to come in whenever I was ready. It took me awhile because I thought I could find the keys but I didn't find it. I called her twice but couldnt make it and had to cancel. Elsie was ever so polite then I finally came in and she broke the lock and replaced it. Another time I came to the unit and got out just before she closed the office. I was traveling on the Bart to Modesto and I didn't know the schedule Elsie was so helpful she got on her computer and found the time the next train was going. Thanks so much Elsie you saved me from having to stay in the Bay area and I got home safely. She always helped me out anytime I was unsure about something. I recommend anyone who needs to get a unit to go over to Hayward. Elsie has impeccable customer service I look forward to seeing you again when I come to the Bay Area.
